I don't mean to start any kind of Mac vs. PC argument, because they never really go anywhere... BUT I will say that it looks like a lot of the "programs" you have open are either folders or multiple windows in a single application.

not to add fuel to the fire that you didn't want to start but I'd have to disagree that it's folders or multiple windows in a single app because it looks like around 16 different programs ranging from adobe photoshop, dreamweaver, bridge, filezilla (which could or could not be actively transferring files), to messaging apps, spreadsheet apps (prob openoffice) and different web browsers (which could or could not be streaming media), but he does have a lot of windows (*documents) opened within dreamweaver which would add to his statement of running a lot on his pc, and he could quite possibly have a few large images open in photoshop considering he is working on pa.....'s guide site from the looks of it....
